Paleo and Teague Hammock Preserve
Welcome to Paleo and Teague Hammock Preserve in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. The Paleo Hammock Preserve is a site of archeological importance and has a one mile self guided trail.
Wildlife: The Teague Hammock Preserve helps protect an excellent example of one of the historical small prairie hammocks that appeared in this part of the United States. Some of the more common trees include Florida elm, laurel and live oak, and potato trees and some of the more common wild animals include deer, quail, and wild turkey. Please treat their home with respect when visiting.
Both of these preserves are part of the Steven J. Fousek Preserve.
