Welcome to Anastasia State Park located along Florida's beautiful Atlantic coast. Inside Anastasia State Park are the remains of an old shellstone quarry which helped produce the stone that went into the buildings of Saint Augustine, one of the oldest cities in the United States. In more recent times this land was the site of an alligator farm as well as a popular swimming beach where people could come ride horses in the surf. The State of Florida first purchased this land in 1949 and though horseback riding is no longer allowed, it is still a popular spot for windsurfing, camping, boating, fishing, and swimming. There are 139 developed campsites. To reserve one of the sites call 800-326-3521. Come out and have fun.
