Pine Island Flatwoods Preserve
Welcome to Pine Island Flatwoods Preserve located in Saint James City, Florida. This land for this preserve was purchased in segments in the early years of the 21st century and today it helps protect a diversity of plant communities including coastal grasslands, freshwater marshes, and pine forests that give home to gopher tortoises, raccoons, and many others. Come out and explore the 1.5 mile hiking trail.
