Northwest Park

Welcome to Northwest Park, home to J.W. Cate Recreation Center in Saint Petersburg, Florida. This park was first established in May 1957 as Northwest Recreation Center but was renamed 40 years later in June 2007 for a local clergyman.

All of this park's athletic facilities are lighted except for one of the ball diamonds.

The park's acreage needs to be updated because the GIS Map doesn't give that information unfortunately.

*Unless otherwise posted all parks are open from 30 minutes before dawn until 11:00 p.m.

*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, harming of wildlife, littering.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; alcoholic beverages, bicycles, fires, fishing, golfing, motor vehicles (including watercraft), remote control aircraft, skating, swimming.

*The following require special permits; amplified sound, camping, horseback riding, sales.

*All dogs must be leashed (no longer than 6 feet) and waste removed.
