Highlands Hammock State Park
Welcome to one of Florida's oldest state parks, the grand and beautiful Highlands Hammock State Park which dates all the way back to 1935 when a group of concerned citizens advocated for it to become a national park. Instead it became a state park and over the years it has grown in size helping to protect 15 types of natural communities. Some of the animals that call this place home include American alligators, white-tailed deer, raccoons, black bears, and the endangered Florida panther. Come out and explore!
