Markham Park

Markham Park is one of Broward County's more active recreation areas and is located near Sunrise. Some of it's many features include a 50 acre remote control airfield where people come to fly their remote control aircraft. There is even a 26 acre lake that is exclusively for Personal Watercraft. Or you can come try your luck at the 18 hole disc-golf course. Come explore over 14 miles of multipurpose trails or bring your dog to the 3.5 acre off leash area. The park is named for C. Robert Markham, who was once county property appraisor.

Picnicking: It's 8 picnic shelters make this park a popular picnic area. They range in size from as few as 24 to as many as 80 people.

Camping: There are 88 campsites with electricity and water. Come out and stay the night.
