Mistletoe State Park

Appling, Georgia

Welcome to Georgia's beautiful Mistletoe State Park located on the Clark Hill Reservoir just northwest of Augusta near Appling.

Boating and Fishing: Also known by some as Lake Strom Thurmond, Clark Hill Reservoir is over 71,000 acres in size making it not only the largest lake in Georgia but also one of the largest man made lakes on the entire United States Eastern Seaboard. There are three concrete boat ramps in the park for access. Some of the best bass fishing in the United States is done here. Exploring the entire lake would take more than a day so hopefully you will plan to do some camping or lodging.

Camping Lodging: Mistletoe State Park boasts 84 tent and RV campsites and for those who do not wish to sleep outdoors the park also has 10 cottages and even one fisherman's cabin.
