For the lover of the outdoors the Chattahoochee National Forest boasts over 430 miles of trails including the starting point of the 2,178 mile Appalachian trail, 1,367 miles of trout streams, excellent swimming holes, the marvelous Anna Ruby Falls, the towering Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA at 4,784 feet), and so much more. This forest is a popular weekend destination for Metro Atlanta residents 12 months a year. Come on out and explore!
