Rabun Beach Recreation Area

Clayton, Georgia

Welcome to Rabun Beach Recreation Area located on the shores of Lake Rabun in the Chattahoochee National Forest. Lake Rabun itself was formed when the Mathis Dam was completed in 1915 and for over a century it has been a popular aquatic recreation area. The lake is 835 acres in size. As the owner of RecPlanet I can say that my experience here has been a very positive one. My parents own a house on Lake Burton which like Rabun is formed by the damming of the Tallulah River.

This was RecPlanet place of the day on June 8, 2016 in honor of a friend's birthday.

Been here lately? Is this still accurate?
