Welcome to Georgia's beautiful Magnolia Springs State Park.

Park History: During the Civil War the land that is now Magnolia Springs State Park was operated as a P.O.W. camp and was called "Camp Lawton" and considered to be "the world's largest prison." In 2010 a team from Georgia Southern University unearthed many Civil War artifacts. This park's springs flow out 7 to 9 million gallons of water daily.

Wildlife: Magnolia Springs State Park helps protect the home of numerous wild animals including turtles, alligators, raccoons, and white tailed deer. Please treat their home with respect.

For the lover of the outdoors Magnolia Springs boasts paddling opportunities, multipurpose trails, picnic shelters, a boat launch, 26 campsites, and much more. Come on out and explore.

To mark reservations please call 800-864-PARK. To contact the park office please call 478-982-1660.
