Welcome to Georgia's largest State Park, the grand and magnificent F.D. Roosevelt State Park located near Pine Mountain, thus making it a popular destination with people at Calloway Gardens. All of this land was once owned by the Roosevelt Family and it's where Franklin Delano Roosevelt spent many of his last days. The warm springs that were in the region were medicinal and therapeutic for his condition. FDR even built a house in the region that is known as the Little White House where one can still view his cane collection today. As the founder of RecPlanet I first came here on April 18, 1996 during a class trip and was quite fascinated by the place.

Camping and Lodging: Roosevelt State Park boasts 105 campsites for both tents and RV's. For those who would rather stay indoors the park also has 22 cottages a few of which are made of stone and were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, an organization that FDR himself helped  to establish when he was President.

Trails: The park boasts many miles of multipurpose trails include 42 miles of hiking trails and 28 miles of equestrian trails. Come out and explore.
