Welcome to Elsie Holmes Nature Park located on the banks of South Chickamauga Creek in Ringgold, Georgia. A widower named Ben Holmes donated this land to Catoosa County in 1997 in memory of his deceased wife Elsie. Holmes wanted the land to remain in it's natural state for future generations of people to enjoy and future generations of plants and animals to inhabit. Numerous species of plants are identified by small signs on the parks more than two miles of hiking trails which are accessible to small children and people with disabilities. Ever since the park was first established, she has had over 60,000 visitors. The park's pavilions are available for rental for weddings, parties, and other events. Come out and explore!
