Fort Frederica National Monument
Saint Simons Island, Georgia
Welcome to Georgia's beautiful and historic Fort Frederica National Monument located in Saint Simon's Island, one of Georgia's many barrier islands. It was here at this site in 1742 where British and Spanish forces fought the Battle of Bloody Marsh. As the founder of RecPlanet I visited this place in April of 1996 on a school trip and really enjoeyd it.
