Trails: Come out and explore over 8 miles of multipurpose trails for all seasons.

Boating: The lake itself is a half mile wide and a mile long. Motorized watercraft are allowed but the entire lake is a no wake zone.

Park History: The history behind the name goes back to the Pottawattomi Native American tribe who were known as the "Fire Nation." Legend has it that this land was a council meeting ground and that they used smoke signals to communicate. In 1935 this land was made a state park.
