Welcome to Crapo Park in Burlington, Iowa on the banks of the Mississippi River. This urban park was first established in 1895 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of Interior in 1976. The park is named for the man who advocated for it's creation, Philip Crapo a prominent local citizen. The park's arboretum has over 200 species of plants. This park also contains a memorial dedicated to Zebulon Pike, for whom Pike's Peak and the Pike National Forest in Colorado are named.
