Burns Prairie Wildlife Area

Welcome to Burns Prairie Wildlife Area in Emmetsburg, Iowa. This beautiful wetland preserve was first estabished in 1990 with the help of local organizations including Ducks Unlimited and the Iowa National Heritage Foundation. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service played an important role in restoring the wetlands which provide habitat for many species of waterfowl including Canadian geese and mallards. Come out for some hunting opportunities.
