Barker Park

Welcome to Barker Park in Indianola, Iowa. This park was first established in 1952 when the city purchased the land from the Flescher Family. Come hit some balls at the baseball/softball backstop, grill some meats at the picnic shelter, and bring the children to the playground.

Indianola Iowa Park Ordinances

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m.

*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, gambling, harming wildlife, littering.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, motor vehicles.

*All dogs must be leashed (no longer than 15 feet) and waste removed.

*All persons ages 4 and up must use the restroom of their designated sex.

*All sales require special permits.
