South Park

Welcome to South Park in Indianola, Iowa. Formerly the estate of a man named Horace E. Patten, this park was first established in the mid 1960's. Come shoot some baskets at the half court, grill some meats at the picnic area, play some catch on the field, or bring the kids to the playground.

Indianola Iowa Park Ordinances

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m.

*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, gambling, harming wildlife, littering.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, motor vehicles.

*All dogs must be leashed (no longer than 15 feet) and waste removed.

*All persons ages 4 and up must use the restroom of their designated sex.

*All sales require special permits.
