Welcome to Crossman Prairie State Preserve in Riceville, Iowa. This place established in 1976 when the land's previous owner Glenn Crossman generously donated it to The Nature Conservancy. In 1980 it was dedicated a Biological State Preserve and even though it is called a State Preserve The Nature Conservancy still has title to the land. Though small in size it helps protect a few rare species.
