Once property of the United States Military, Fort Boise Park was first given to the City of Boise, Idaho back in 1950. For many decades it has been a popular recreation area. All of the athletic facilities are lighted so people can play at night.

Boise Idaho Park Rules 

*The following are prohibited; littering, defacing public property, harming wild animals, gambling. 

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; horseback riding, organized athletic play, fires, motor vehicles, swimming, fishing. 

*The following require special permits; hot air balloons, overnight camping, use of metal detectors. 

*All dogs must be leashed and waste removed.
