Welcome to Anderson Lake State Park in Astoria, Illinois. Anderson Lake itself is a floodplain that helps to absorb overflow waters coming from the Illinois River. Some of the park's trees include willow, cottonwood, and silver maple and some of the park's animals include Bald Eagles in the wintertime and migratory Pelicans in the Spring. Some of the fish in Anderson Lake include bass, catfish, bluegill, and crappie. Since the time of it's establishment in 1947, Anderson Lake State Park has been a popular destination for hunters and fisherman. Come on out and have fun.

The campground at Anderson Lake State Park is class C and has spots for both tents and trailers as well as a dump station. The park is a popular destination for mallard and duck hunting as well as bow and arrow deer hunting.
