Keepataw Forest Preserve

Activities:
Hiking

Welcome to the Keepataw Forest Preserve which was first purchased by Will County in 1978. This preserve offers one of the more unique features of all the Will County Forest Preserves, a 60 foot bluff carved from a limestone quarry in the early 1900's. One of the kilns from the quarry still has it's remains in the preserve today. Many plants and animals make their home in this preserve including the endangered Hines Emerald Dragonfly. Please treat their home with respect. Come on out and explore.
