Jubilee College was founded by Bishop Philander Chase of the Episcopal Church in 1839. It was one of the earliest educational institutions in the state of Illinois. In 1862 Chase passed away and the school closed and in 1933 the school grounds were transferred over to the state. Since that time the state has increased the parks acreage from 93 acres to over 30000. Today the park's diverse landscape carved out by Jubilee Creek offers many recreational opportunities as well as wildlife habitat for deer, foxes, coyotes, raccoons, and many other creatures. Hunting and fishing are allowed and the parks 25 miles of trails allow for horseback riding but swimming is not permitted in any section of Jubilee Creek. Come explore Jubilee College State Park.

To contact the park office please call 309-446-3758.
