The beautiful Butternut Preserve is a natural park in Crystal Lake, Illinois on the banks of the Kishwaukee River not far from West Elementary School. This park has sledding hills for cold winter days, multipurpose trails for all seasons, and helps to protect habitat for squirrels, frogs, white-tailed deer, and many others. Come out and explore!
