O’Brien Park

Downers Grove, Illinois

Welcome to O'Brien Park in Downers Grove, Illinois. This land was previously owned by a couple named William and Libby Blaha before it was purchased by the park district in the early 1970's. The park however was not named for the Blaha's but for former park's commissioner Robert O'Brien. On snowy winter days many people come here to go sledding. The open fields are wide enough for kite-flying on windy days.
