Welcome to Ruth Powers Park in Downers Grove, Illinois. In the late 1960's a local real estate development team was nice enough to give this piece of land to the City of Downers Grove. It was decided to name the park for a woman who served many years working for the local park district, Ruth Powers. The multipurpose field is wide enough for kite flying on windy days. The picnic area has a grill so bring some meats for cooking.
