Thurgood Marshall Park is a beautiful suburban linear park located on the banks of Cherry Creek in Hazel Crest, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. The park remains relatively undeveloped but has a wide green multipurpose field that is good for kite flying on a windy day or a game of soccer. In 2012 the number of trees standing on this land was increased significantly. The park is named after Thurgood Marshall, the first African American to serve on the United States Supreme Court.
