York Woods Forest Preserve
Welcome to the oldest Forest Preserve in DuPage County, the York Woods Forest Preserve, an oasis of wetlands and oak forests located in Oak Brook, Illinois.
Preserve History: DuPage County first purchased this land in 1917. Though small in size, this preserve is known for it's diversity of plants and animals. Some of the animals that call this place home include Baltimore orioles, vireos, owls, squirrels, and raccoons. Please treat their home with respect.
For the lover of the outdoors this preserve boasts a picnic shelter build by the Civilian Conservation Corps, a one mile multipurpose trail, and so much more. Come on out and explore.
