Welcome to Lindberg Park located in the Chicago suburban community of Oak Park, Illinois. This suburban playground space has seen many changes over the decades. It once had it's trashy days as a local landfill but also served as a memorial garden to the United States veterans who lost their lives fighting in World War II. Today it is an oasis of native trees, flowers and grasses, and it's garden boasts over 90 species of perennial plants. The gardens themselves were designed in the 1930's by the man for whom the park is named, Gustav Lindberg. Today Lindberg Park is the largest park operated by the Village of Oak Park at nearly 14 acres in size and offers tennis courts, seasons concession stands, a soccer field, and much more. Come out and have fun!
