Welcome to the beautiul Starved Rock State Park, a place that is considered to be one of the most beautiful areas of Illinois, it is located on the banks of the Illinois River in Oglesby.
Park History: Starved Rock State Park has over 8,000 human history. The first humans to live in the area were Native Americans of theHopewellian, Mississippian, and Woodland Cultures. The biggest tribe to live in the area was the one for which the state is named. In the 17th century French Traders entered the region.
Camping: The campground at Starved Rock State Park has 129 Class A sites with electrical hookups, a fire pit, and a place to put a tent. Dump stations and bath houses are located nearby. Come out and stay a few nights.
