Welcome to Deerpath Park, one of the larger community park in Vernon Hills, Illinois, a suburb of the Windy City of Chicago. This is one of the many parks across the United States that was made possible by the Congressional Land and Water Conservation Fund. The money was first put forth in 1978 and since that time many additional improvements and expansions have been made including a new playground in the late 1990's. The recreation trail is over a mile and a half long and some of the athletic facilities include a sand volleyball court, six tennis courts, three sandlot ball diamonds, a multipurpose field, a full basketball court, and more.

This was RecPlanet place of the day on March 26, 2015.
