Danada Forest Preserve

Wheaton, Illinois

Welcome to Danada Forest Preserve located in Wheaton, Illinois.

Preserve History: Danada Forest Preserve was once the home of Daniel and Ada Rice, Lucky Debonair, a winner of the Kentucky Derby. It is ironic that a winner of the Kentucky Derby used to live here because this preserve is the home of the Danada Equestrian center as well as a banquet hall, the Forest Preserve District headquarters building, and the Danada Model Farm.

For the lover of the outdoors Danada Forest Preserve boasts a 36 acre fishing lake (must have license if you are 16 years of age or older), several picnic tables, three miles of multipurpose trails, and so much more. Come on out and explore!
