Welcome to Wolf Creek State Park located on the shores of Lake Shelbyville not far from the Illinois State Capitol.

Park History: Like many of the other park's in the region, Wolf Creek State Park came into existence from the Flood Control Act of 1958 which helped to construct reservoirs and protect lands in order to control flooding, protect wildlife, and provide for recreation.

For the lover of the outdoors Wolf Creek State Park boasts miles of multipurpose trails, a boat ramp, a swimming beach, over 300 campsites, and several picnic areas. Come on out and explore.
