Welcome to the beautiful Griffy Lake Nature Preserve, a natural park in Bloomington, Indiana. This park helps protect wildlife habitat for raccoons, red-tailed hawks, white-tailed deer, blue herons, ducks, and many others. Come out and explore many miles of hiking trails. People can rent non-motorized watercraft and explore Griffy Lake.

In 1924 the Bloomington Water Company built a water treatment plant on this site that was operated for the next seven decades until 1995. The remaining sections of the preserve were purchased from different owners over the years.
