Welcome to the Carnes Mill Nature Preserve located on the banks of the Little Blue River in Crawford County, Indiana. This preserve is named for an old mill that once stood over a natural rock tunnel. Today it is an oasis of old growth deciduous forest, rare plants such as skullcaps and hairy mints, and sandstone outcroppings. The exact location of this preserve is not yet verified.
