Indiana State Forests

Welcome to Indiana's oldest State Forest, Clark State Forest, which was first purchased in 1903 under the administration of Governor Winfield Durbin. At the time it was 2,000 acres in size but additional purchases throughout the 20th century helped bring her to her present size of nearly 24,000 acres. Much of this land was also used as an experimental forest over the years.

Wildlife: Clark State Forest helps protect the home of numerous wild critters including deer, foxes, raccoons, squirrels, and wild turkeys. Please treat their home with respect.

For the lover of the outdoors this forest boasts over 100 miles of multipurpose trails, seven fishing lakes, and so much more. Come on out and explore.
