Evelyn and Wendell Dygert Nature Preserve

Columbia City, Indiana

Welcome to Evelyn and Wendell Dygert Nature Preserve in Columbia City, Indiana. This preserve is named for the couple who bought the land in 1968 and donated it to the trust in 2001. This preserve is a diverse forest of beech, cherry, hickory, maple, and oak trees that provide habitat for many wild critters including great horned owls and red tailed hawks. Come hike the 1.7 mile trail.
