Roberts Park

Evansville, Indiana

Welcome to Roberts Park in Evansville, Indiana. The volleyball courts are sand courts and all of the athletic facilities are lighted except for the basketball courts.

Inside Roberts Park is what is considered both a "National Natural Landmark" and "Indiana State Nature Preserve," Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve. This bottomland forest preserve helps protect over 300 species of wildflowers, over 150 species of birds, and numerous mammals. The City of Evansville, Alcoa Foundation, and Indiana Power and Light generously helped build a tunnel under the local highway for salamanders to travel safely. This preserve boasts an interpretive center and classrooms, making it a good field trip destination. There are also over six miles of trails. Come out and explore!

To access the park's McDonald Golf Course go to 2905 E Morgan Avenue.
