Ellenberger Park
Welcome to Ellenberger Park located in Indianapolis, Indiana. This urban community park was first purchased by the City of Indianapolis in 1909 for $500 an acre and was designed by the landscape architect George Edward Kessler. The park itself was once part of a farm operated by a man named Joseph Sandusky. In the mid-19th century Sandusky sold 180 acres of his land to a man named John Ellenberger, for whom the park is named. This park has a 3/4 of a mile fitness trail, eight tennis courts, ball diamonds, and much more. Come out and have fun!
