Buckley Homestead Living History Farm

Lowell, Indiana

Welcome to Lake County's Buckley Homestead Living History Farm. This beautiful piece of land was once an operating farm owned by the Buckley Family who immigrated to northern Indiana from Ireland in the mid 19th century. What started off as a 79 acre dairy farm grew to encompass over 500 acre. Most of their customers were residents of the Chicago Area. After being in the family for four generations, Rose Buckley Pearce donated the land to Lake County in 1977. Today this park boasts hayrides, picnic shelters, hiking trails, live farm animals, and much more. Come on out and have fun.
