Matter Park

Welcome to Matter Park located on the banks of the Mississinewa River in Marion, Indiana. This is Marion's largest park and some of it's many features include a butterfly garden, 5 lighted tennis courts, 6 lighted pickleball courts, a very nice garden, a catch and release fishing pond, a disc golf course, and an ADA accessible playground. Come out and have fun.

This park's official website says 110 acres but the GIS data gives the number below. Thus the exact acreage is unknown.

When visiting any park in Marion, Indiana please respect the rules.

*All parks open at 7:30 am and close at 9pm with the lighted areas closing at 11pm. Hours may be extended with special permit.

*The following are prohibited; alcoholic, defacing public property, foul language, harming wildlife, littering.

*All burning is restricted to picnic grills.

*The following activities require special permit, camping, sales, setting off of fireworks.

*All animals must be leashed, no more than 8 feet long and waste removed.

*Please obey speed limit and all other State of Indiana traffic laws.
