Morton Community Center
Welcome to Morton Community Center located in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Park History: The Morton Community Center has it's roots in the 19th Century when the town of Kingston existed in what is now the town of West Lafayette. The school building was constructed in 1892 and the two story structure was named for former Indiana Governor, Oliver P. Morton, who was in office during the Civil War. Until the second quarter of the 20th Century Morton was the only elementary school in West Lafayette.
