Welcome to Japanese Friendship Garden in Lawrence, Kansas. This garden was established in 1995 in honor of the 10th anniversary of the cities of Lawrence, Kansas and Hiratsuka, Japan becoming sister cities.

Lawrence Kansas Park Ordinances

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m.

*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, harming wildlife, littering, smoking.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, motor vehicles.

*All pets must be leashed and waste removed.

*All persons ages 16-64 must have a fishing license to fish.

Please respect these and all local, State of Kansas, and United States statutes.
