Welcome to Veterans Park in Lawrence, Kansas. Once the site of barracks for military students this place first became a city park in 1947 and is dedicated to the men and women of the United States military.

Lawrence Kansas Park Ordinances

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m.

*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, harming wildlife, littering, smoking.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, motor vehicles.

*All pets must be leashed and waste removed.

*All persons ages 16-64 must have a fishing license to fish.

Please respect these and all local, State of Kansas, and United States statutes.
