Welcome to Lake Shawnee Park in Topeka, Kansas.

There are many different entrances to this large park. The campground is located at 3435 SE East Edge Road, the 18-hole Disc-Golf Course on Tinman Circle, the 8 lighted Tennis Courts and the Sand Volleyball Court at the intersection of SE 41st Street & SE Howley Road, the Event Center at 3025 SE Croco Road, and the trail as well as the Bettis Sports Complex at 3025 SE Beach Terrace.

Bettis Sports Complex: This 22 acre facility is one of the top sports complexes in the midwestern United States. It is home to many regional, state, and national tournaments.

Camping: Lake Shawnee Campground has 141 campsites. Sites 55 and 56 are ADA accessible and the campers must have a handicapped licensed tag in order to use them. Most sites have electricity with sites 3-95 having 50 amps and sites 96-141 have 30 amps. Dump stations, toilets showers, and laundy areas are all located nearby. Come out and stay a few nights.

Picnicking: Being so large Lake Shawnee Park has several picnic shelters. Shelters 1 and 2 are located at 3410 SE Leisure Lane. Shelter 1 has a 120 person capacity with 13 tables and a nice view of the lake. Shelter 2 is a completely indoor shelter with a capacity of 50.

Shelter 3 is an indoor shelter with a fireplace, a kitchen, and an 80 person capacity located at 3916 SE Memorial Point.

Shelters 4 and 5 are located on Tinman Circle. They both have grills and a 120 person capacity.

Shelter 6 is an indoor shelter with a kitchen, grill, and 80 person capacity located at 3521 SE East Edge Road
