Welcome to Kentenia State Forest located in Kentucky’s Appalachian Region of Harlan County. Forest History: This is the oldest State Forest in Kentucky. It was given to the state via donation from the generous Kentenia-Cantron Corporation. Wildlife: Kentenia State Forest helps protect the home of numerous wild critters including deer, foxes, squirrels, and raccoons. Please treat their home with respect. For the lover of the outdoors this forest boasts miles of multipurpose trails and so much more. Come on out and have a blast!
