This urban park was purchased in 1882 from the estate of James Erwin by the Woodland Park Association and sold to the City of Lexington two decades later in 1902. It has been a popular park among Lexingtonians ever since it was first established, serving as a destination for movies, festivals, ballgames, and many other events. Today this park boasts a skate park, a swimming pool, baseball fields, and much more. Come on out and have fun.
