Carr Creek State Park
Welcome to Carr Creek State Park located in Sassafras, Kentucky. This park was once the site of some of Kentucky's oldest pioneer settlements which date back to the 1770's right around the time the Declaration of Independence was signed. The area is named for William Carr a man who lived in the region. A 480 foot swimming beach, the longest one in the Kentucky State Park's system helps makes this park a popular destination for hot summer days.
Boating and Fishing: Carr Creek Lake is 750 acres in size and has no horsepower limit on boat motors. The lake is filled with walleye, bass, and crappie. Come out and cast a line.
Camping: Carr Creek State Park boasts 39 campsites each one with electricity and water. Come out and stay a few nights.
