Lake Shelby Park and Campground
Welcome to Lake Shelby Park and Campgound located on the shores of Lake Shelby in Shelbyville, Kentucky. The dam that creates this lake was first built in 1949 and was initially the city's water reservoir until Guist Creek Lake was formed in the 1960's. When that happened, the former reservoir became a recreation area. This 20 acre lake is full of bass, bluegill, catfish, and crappie. Come out and launch a non-motorized watercraft or bring the kids to the playground. The picnic area has grills.
Camping: The park's campground has 10 sites for RV's as well as 20 sites for tents. Come out and stay a few nights.
