Welcome to Louisiana's Lake Bistineau State Park located in the Northwestern Park of the state not far from Shreveport. Lake Bistineau itself dates back over two centuries ago when a log jam in the Red River caused the flooding of several thousand acres of land. Dredging of the region eventually drained this lake but in the Depression Era 1930's a manmade dam brought it back.
For the recreational enthusiast Lake Bistineau State Park boasts over 10 miles of land trails, an 11 mile canoe trail, a baseball field, numerous aquatic opportunities and more. Come out and have an adventure.
